when i was at school i used to accidentally VITIATE the computers.
The rainy weather VITIATED my hairdo on the way to class. ;) It really sucked too!

I didn't look it up, BTW, I just went with what it sounded like. When I was in 6th grade we were given words we weren't likely to know to use in sentences. Who knew that bourgeoisie wasn't a poisonous plant?

I finally went and looked it up. Here's one using it in something closer to the right way.
The vampire vitiated its victim, draining away her vital forces with its vicious attack.
She vitiated her personal power but it bit her in the end.
